Unofficial site

ReadyDMV is an independent, unofficial study site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Department of Public Safety (DPS), Department of Transportation, Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, or any other government agency, driving school, or testing provider.

Practice questions are not exam questions

Every question on this site is original practice material written from the topics in public state driver handbooks (publications of state governments). We do not publish, and do not have access to, actual secure exam questions. Studying here teaches the material the tests cover; it does not reproduce any test.

Exam facts and modeled formats

Question counts, passing standards, fees, and other exam facts shown on state pages were checked against official state sources in October 2026 and are cited on each page. Rules change without notice, so always confirm the current figures on the official agency site before you test.

Two formats deserve a specific note. Florida does not administer a DMV motorcycle written test (the endorsement is earned through a rider course), so our Florida motorcycle simulator is clearly labeled as a modeled, course-style knowledge check, not an official exam format. Texas waives its motorcycle knowledge test for most applicants who complete an approved safety course; our Texas motorcycle simulator models the published test format as a study aid and says so on the page. Where a detail could not be verified against an official source, we omit it rather than guess.

No guarantee

Passing a practice test or simulator run here does not guarantee passing an official exam. Your result depends on your preparation and on the current official requirements of your state.
